QR code FAQs

A QR code, or quick reference code, is a machine-readable code consisting of a multitude of black and white squares, typically used for storing URLs or other information for reading by the QR code reader on simply the camera on a smartphone.

Although it's free to create, once a static QR code is setup in cannot be changed. Static QR Codes do not collect scan statistics.
A dynamic QR code, on the other hand, can be edited, i.e. change the url it directs the user to and you can also get scanning statistics on a dynamic QR code.

A custom QR code is a QR code that is uniquely branded for a campaign or organisation. You can customise the colour, background and change the shape of the small black blocks. Most companies simply just add their logo in the middle to make it easily identifiable. Be careful though, the more you customise it the less likely it is to be scanned easily and the user can be left frustrated if it doesn't work.
